Hesperis matronalis 'Alba', commonly known as white dame's rocket, is a fragrant, biennial or short-lived perennial that produces clusters of pure white flowers. These four-petaled blooms are arranged in tall, elegant spikes, creating a lovely contrast against the plant's dark green, lance-shaped leaves. The flowers have a sweet, lilac-like fragrance, especially noticeable in the evening, hence the plant's other common name, evening-primrose.
