Armeria maritima, commonly known as sea thrift, is a low-growing, evergreen perennial plant that forms dense, tufted clumps of grass-like foliage. It is well adapted to coastal environments and thrives in sandy, well-drained soils.

Botanical Characteristics:

• Leaves: Narrow, linear, dark green, and grass-like, forming dense basal rosettes.
• Flowers: Small, globe-shaped clusters (pom-pom-like) of pink to purple flowers, though white varieties exist.
• Blooming Season: Spring to early summer, with sporadic blooms in fall.
• Height & Spread: Typically grows 10–30 cm (4–12 inches) tall and spreads up to 20–30 cm (8–12 inches).
